Argyle High School has hired Erika Lucido as the new Lady Eagles’ soccer coach. The position was approved during Monday’s regular School Board meeting.

Lucido replaces Marc Koke, who will become the Eagles boys’ head coach. Former boys’ head soccer coach Ben Parks will move into an assistant boys’ soccer position along with continuing his role as an assistant with the football program.

Lucido is in her first year at Argyle and helped the Lady Eagles to the playoffs in their first year in Class 5A. She previously served as the Bridgeport High School girls’ head coach from 2019-2022. Under her leadership, Bridgeport produced an undefeated district championship season in 2020-2021, which was the best year in school history. Lucido was also honored as the District 5-4A Coach of the Year.

Her playing career included five years at SMU and Lucido was chosen American Athletic Conference Second-Team All-Conference in 2014. Lucido played at SMU from 2011-2015 and was also invited to the Under 20 U.S. Women’s National Team camp in 2011.

“Coach Lucido has tremendous playing experience and head coaching experience to share and utilize with her athletes,” Argyle ISD Athletic Director Todd Rodgers said. “Additionally, she easily connects with her players and challenges them to be their very best in all situations.”
