Argyle ISD celebrated a significant milestone last week. The district celebrated the 5,000th student to enroll! Third grader Savannah Ray and her family joined Argyle ISD during the break and she attends Hilltop Elementary.

Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright, Hilltop Principal Dona Lumsden, Hilltop Assistant Principal Kimberly McCage and staff surprised Savannah in her class along with her family. Argyle ISD continues to grow and opened its fifth campus this fall with Argyle South Elementary. The district grew 13 percent from last school year to the start of the 2022-2023 year.

"Enrolling the 5,000th student in AISD was a very exciting event," Wright said. "The district’s growth continues as we welcome students from surrounding communities as well as other states and countries."
