Argyle ISD held a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, March 29 seeking feedback from the community regarding the proposed Cross Timbers Business Park in Canyon Falls.
The meeting drew more than 150 community members and over 40 speakers who addressed the Argyle ISD School Board and Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright in opposition to this planned development adjacent to the new Argyle High School. This industrial subdivision includes distribution warehouses on the 263-acre tract on the northwest corner of FM 1171 and Highway 377. The project application is currently in the review process with the Town of Flower Mound.
The School Board will consider a resolution of opposition to the Cross Timbers Business Park at a Special Board Meeting on Monday, April 4 at 6 p.m. The resolution and the Board’s decision will be shared with the Town of Flower Mound Town Council and Crow Holdings following the meeting.
During the Town Hall Meeting, parents, staff and community members raised multiple concerns about the potential impact of this development including safety for students and families, traffic, pollution and noise impact.
