New Hilltop Elementary Assistant Principal Hired
McCage has been serving as an administrative intern on the campus since the start of the school year. She has worked in education for 16 years and is in her 12th year in Argyle ISD, where she has also been teaching at Argyle Middle School. She has several years of experience teaching grades 2nd-8th and has also been a teacher mentor, coach and Student Council sponsor.

The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of the first principal of the new Elementary School #3 during Monday's School Board regular meeting. The Board unanimously approved Dr. Dawn Jordan as the Elementary School #3 principal. The campus, which is located in Canyon Falls, is scheduled to open at the start of the 2022-2023 school year. Jordan is currently in her third year as the principal of Argyle Intermediate School, a 5th-grade campus that will close next year to be repurposed.

Jordan has nine years of elementary principal experience, including two years in Lewisville ISD before moving to Argyle in 2019. She has more than 20 years in education and will lead the opening of this new Pre-K-5th Grade campus.

New Hilltop Elementary Assistant Principal HiredThe School Board also approved the hiring of Kimberly McCage as the new Assistant Principal at Hilltop Elementary on Monday night.

She has several years of experience teaching grades 2nd-8th and has also been a teacher mentor, coach and Student Council sponsor.
"We are very excited to bring Mrs. McCage on as a new Assistant Principal at Hilltop Elementary," Hilltop Principal Dona Lumsden said. "She has been with us for nine weeks as an intern and has already made a huge impact on the campus. It has been great to watch her build such strong relationships with staff, students and parents while only being here for a few hours a day. It will be exciting to watch her grow as an administrator as she becomes a full-time member of our team. Her energy is contagious and we are happy to welcome her aboard."
