Argyle High School was presented with the 2020-2021 University Interscholastic League Lone Star Cup Award during halftime of the Eagles-Celina game.

UIL representatives were in attendance to present AHS with its 11th Lone Star Cup. Argyle produced a historic run en route to its state-record ninth consecutive award. Argyle produced five state championships and two state runner-up finishes last school year.

With Class 4A state championships in Football, Marching Band, Boys Basketball, Girls and Boys Golf, and state runners-up in Academics and Spirit, Argyle earned 148 total UIL Lone Star Cup points and won the Class 4A title.

The 148 points mark the highest point total in school history and were the highest point total in any classification last school year.

The UIL Lone Star Cup is annually awarded to the most successful schools in each of the state’s six classifications. The award is based on team performances in district and state championships in Academics, Fine Arts and Athletics.
