Argyle ISD welcomed back students this week for the 2021-2022 school year! The start of the year included considerable change for the campuses. It was highlighted by the opening of the new Argyle High School in Canyon Falls. Phase II of the campus construction was part of the 2017 bond and included additional classroom space, new auditorium, gym and fieldhouse.
Also, Argyle Middle School moved to the Highway 377 campus. At the elementary level, Hilltop and Argyle West shifted their configuration to Pre-K through 4th grade as all 5th graders in AISD now attend Argyle Intermediate.
Argyle ISD also saw its enrollment eclipse 4,000 students as the district continues to experience significant growth. AISD's first-day student enrollment was 4,228.
"I am so excited to be starting a brand new school year," Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright said. "Every school year is special and filled with memory-making experiences and exciting learning opportunities. We continue to see significant enrollment growth and welcomed 478 new Eagles to the district this year."
