Argyle ISD offers rigorous and competitive athletic programs for individuals and groups. Boys' teams include baseball, basketball, cross-country, football, golf, soccer, tennis, track, and wrestling. Girls' team include basketball, volleyball, cross-country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and track.

Argyle is home to the 12-time UIL Lone Star Cup Champions. This prestigious honor is awarded to the most successful schools in each classification based on academics, athletics and fine arts. Argyle has won a state-record 10 consecutive Lone Star Cups and scored 168 points during the 2021-2022 school year (most in state history).
