Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright is entering her 21st year serving in the district. She has also served as a principal and assistant superintendent.
Under her leadership, Argyle ISD has successfully passed voter-approved bond elections to manage student enrollment growth with the addition of a new high school and new elementary (West Elementary). The third elementary in Argyle ISD is scheduled to open in the fall of 2022. Dr. Wright started in the district as the Argyle High School principal She has led the district's fast-growth planning as AISD expects to surpass 4,000 students in the 2021-2022 school year.
Argyle continues to carry its tradition as one of the most recognized districts across the state. Argyle has also won 11 UIL Lone Star Cup Championships, including a record nine consecutive. This award is given to the most successful schools in each classification based on academics, athletics and fine art.
