The Safety and Security Department plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of students, staff, and visitors. This department is responsible for developing and implementing safety protocols, overseeing regular emergency drills, and emergency operations planning for the district. It also oversees the installation and maintenance of security systems, such as surveillance cameras, access control mechanisms, and the district’s Centegix Crisis Alert System which is utilized to alert staff and students in various types of emergencies.  Additionally, the department provides training and resources to promote a culture of safety and preparedness within the school community, addressing issues ranging from bullying to emergency evacuations and reunification. By fostering a secure learning environment, the Safety and Security Department helps create a foundation for academic success and community trust.
