Every Argyle ISD student deserves to feel safe, supported, and cared for. Mental health is an important part of student success, and support is available. Whether your child is facing a difficult season, dealing with a specific challenge, or you simply want to know where to turn, this page provides resources to help. Our campus counselors are a caring first point of contact, and no family has to navigate these challenges alone.

Getting Help at School

he best place to start is your child's campus counselor. Counselors support students with stress, anxiety, friendships, grief, family changes, and many other challenges. They can meet with your child, help you understand available options, and connect your family with school and community resources.

To reach out, contact your child's professional school counselor by email or through the campus front office. If a concern involves immediate safety, call the campus directly or 911.

Signs a Student May Need Support

Children and teens do not always have the words to explain what they are feeling, and you know your child best. Reaching out early can make a meaningful difference. Consider connecting with a counselor if you notice:

Lasting sadness, worry, anger, or irritability
Withdrawal from friends, family, or activities they previously enjoyed
Changes in sleep, appetite, or energy
Declining grades or difficulty concentrating
Frequent headaches, stomachaches, or other physical complaints
Comments about hopelessness or not wanting to be here

If your child talks about suicide or hurting themselves, take it seriously and seek help immediately using the crisis resources above.

Find Help by Topic

Anxiety and Depression: Ongoing counseling can help. Start with your campus counselor, or call the Here for Texas navigation line at 972-525-8181 to find a provider based on your child's age, needs, and insurance.

Grief and Loss: Free grief support for children and teens is available through organizations such as The WARM Place, GriefWorks, Journey of Hope, and others. Your campus counselor can provide additional resources.

Suicide Prevention: If you are concerned about your child's safety, call or text 988 or contact the Denton County MHMR Crisis Line at 800-762-0157. Learn the warning signs and how to provide support.

Bullying and Safety: If your child is experiencing bullying or you have a safety concern, notify any staff member or use our bullying and safety report form. Every report is taken seriously.

Substance Use: Confidential support is available. Your campus counselor can help connect your family with appropriate resources.

Self-Harm: Self-harm can be a sign that a student is struggling to cope. Reach out to your campus counselor, and use the crisis resources above if there are concerns about safety.
