Formal Complaint
A Formal Complaint is a legally recognized complaint that meets the requirements under Texas Government Code 614.022.
- How to file: Formal complaints must be:
- In writing
- Signed by the complainant
- Notarized
- Purpose: Used for serious allegations or when the complainant desires a formal investigation and official documentation.
- Outcome: A formal investigation is conducted, and the complainant will be notified in writing of the results.
