AISD Growth
Argyle ISD’s student population grew 13 percent last year, and in the last four years, Argyle ISD has averaged approximately 400 new students each year. This growth is projected to continue, with more than 1,000 vacant residential lots ready for development and an additional 7,250 residential lots in the planning stages throughout the school district boundaries.
Demographers forecast that 700-900 new homes will be built within Argyle ISD – annually – for the next five years. This residential growth is projected to bring 3,100 new students to the district, essentially doubling the size of Argyle ISD’s student population compared to the 2019-2020 school year.
The communities with the highest number of vacant, developed lots ready for construction are Harvest, Waterbrook, Ridge at Northlake, Canyon Falls, Lakes of Argyle, Argyle Crossing, Montalcino Estates, Pepper Creek Ranch, 5T Ranch and Hat Creek Estates.
To be prepared for this growth, Argyle ISD is asking voters to consider the 2022 bond proposal which includes three new schools (two new elementary schools and a new Argyle Middle School), land for future school sites, the design of a second new middle school in the future, technology infrastructure to support the new facilities, and additional buses.
