One of the best things to do in life is to teach children! I have always wanted to be a teacher…well, as far back as I can remember. When Texas adopted the Standardized Testing system (TAKS) due to the No Child Left Behind Act, many parents became increasingly concerned whether or not their child would be prepared for such a test. Now we have switched to the STAAR and parents are still a little concerned. It is my GREAT privilege to begin my 4th year at Argyle Intermediate School; a school who has set parent’s minds at ease with the EXEMPLARY rating it achieves by preparing its “Little Eagles” not only for the STAAR, but for life-long learning! I want you to feel confident that I will do my best to continue the trend of providing the quality instruction that was presented to these Eagles last year. I realize that along the way, we may face hurdles, but together we will leap over them and cheer for each other as we finish the year successfully.
From the source of a well-known, famous and favored author I quote:
“You’ll get mixed up, of course, as you
You’ll get mixed-up, with many strange birds as you go.
So be sure when you step, step with great care and great tact,
and remember that life’s a great balancing act.
Just never forget to be dexterous and deft, and never mix up your right foot with your left.
And will you succeed?
Yes, You will indeed!
98 ¾ percent guaranteed.”

Thanks for trusting me with your child and together we will have a GREAT YEAR!
