Welcome to the Argyle Independent School District

Welcome to eighth grade English/Language Arts.  I look forward to experiencing learning together in an interactive and engaging classroom in which we partner to make learning meaningful and interesting. This is my thirteenth year at Argyle ISD, after substitute teaching while pursuing my Master's degree in education from TWU.  I love learning with and from students - this is your class; I'm simply the facilitator of learning.
The course syllabus is posted in Google Classroom for students and parents to review.
My classroom number is 1513.  The school phone is 940-246-2126 or you can email me at   My tutoring times are on the course syllabus. Students must have a pass to the academic wing in the morning, so please see me for a pass.  Tutoring is also available during activity period which also requires prior sign up.   Students may see me in the morning to have their name added to the list.

Yearbook staff receives weekly photojournalism assignments that are posted to Google Classroom.  Staff will have the opportunity to rotate assignments quarterly to allow students to learn the responsibilities and competencies for all aspects of journalism while collaborating with peers, teachers, and our school community.
I encourage open communication to promote student success and confidence and promise a timely response and solutions.
