Hello Argyle West Family, my name is Amber Bridges and I am thrilled to be your new art teacher! I graduated from UNT and I have taught in surrounding districts. This is my 7th year to teach Art. I reside in Argyle with my husband and three elementary aged children. It is an honor to now be working in my community with students that will grow up with my own kids. AWE is amazing!
I believe that every child is creative and has potential to learn and grow their skills in the art classroom. Each grade level is currently working on a different Art Lesson. Each lesson will take between three to seven art class periods to complete. Students have studied a historical artist, learned about the Elements of Art, and are now preparing for their final drawing or painting. Your young artists are working hard and I am very proud of them..
In art class, we sometimes work with “messy” art mediums like watercolor paint, acrylic paint, clay, and chalk pastels. These materials are often favorites! On Art days, please send your child in clothes that are okay to get dirty. You may also send a larger “messy shirt” for them to throw over their nice clothes. I appreciate your support.
If you ever have any questions, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have set up new Instagram and Facebook accounts to journal our art adventures. Check these venues for fun art room photos and important information. I hope you can follow along! Thank you for allowing me to create with your sweet children!
