Phyllis Clark - 48.57% with 3,731 votes

The Argyle ISD School Board Election will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020. Place 1 and Place 2 will include a candidate race and Place 3 is unopposed. The election was originally scheduled to be held in May but was postponed to the COVID-19 pandemic and closures. Each candidate's application is linked with their name listing below.

About the Board of Trustee Elections
 
Argyle ISD has seven Trustees on the School Board. Trustees serve three-year terms and are elected by position with terms staggering a three year cycle, AISD Policy BBB (LOCAL). 

The 2020 General Trustee Election will be November 3rd, 2020, the Uniform Election date. Places 1, 2, and 3 are scheduled for election in 2020. Trustee candidate eligibility is defined in Policy BBA (LEGAL) 

Argyle ISD participates in joint elections with other entities and contracts with the Denton County Elections Office to administer the election. Registered voters may vote early by personal appearance at any of the Denton County early voting locations, but may only vote at the assigned polling location for their precinct on the actual election day. Voters may verify registration and polling locations at the Denton County Elections Administration Office, website at www.votedenton.com.

Residents who want to vote early by mail can complete an application at www.votedenton.com.

Candidates are required to file an application for a place on the ballot by the filing deadline. Candidates are also required to file campaign finance reports per Election Code, as stated in Policy BBBA (LEGAL). 

Candidates must submit their election filings to the Argyle ISD Administration Building, located at 800 Eagle Dr., Argyle, TX 76226. As an alternative to filing documents in person or mail, filings will also be received via fax at 940-464-7297 or via email attachment to ymcgarvey@argyleisd.com.

Candidate packets are available online under the “Candidates Information” menu with links to the appropriate downloadable forms. Paper packets are also available to pick up at the Argyle ISD Administration Building.
