There are two parts to Pre-Kindergarten enrollment: qualification and registration. Both parts must be completed in order to fully enroll your child in school. This page will walk you through the process for qualifying and enrolling your child for Pre-Kindergarten.

Eligibility is determined by the total combined household income and the number of family members in the household. Income is determined by the gross income. 2-3 months of income documentation are required.

Military Be the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority;(mobilized) or is the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty.

Documentation for Texas National Guard members or military reservists that they are in face on active duty. Documentation stating the former military member sustained injury while on active duty, not necessarily in combat. The links below contain detailed information for military qualification. |
Foster Care Currently, or have ever been in, the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code

Letters are sent to qualifying families. If you did not receive a letter you can contact a DFPS specialist to have one sent. The link for the specialist is below as well as an example of the documentation. Court documentation is also acceptable. |
