From a young age, I had always known that I wanted to be in a teacher. I spent most of my childhood creating fake assignments and activities for my imaginary students. When I began planning for a future in the classroom, it did not surprise anyone. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Literature from the University of North Texas. I have a teaching certification in English Language Arts (4-8), Special Education (EC-12), and a supplement in English Second Language. I am entering into my third year of teaching, and I am so happy that my journey brought me to Argyle to teach 7th grade English Language Arts!
When my heart is not in the classroom, it is taking flight and exploring new places. I love to travel and experience new cultures. I am always trying to mark off a new place on my travel list. If I am not hopping on an airplane, you can find me at home crafting or watching Netflix with my husband, two dogs (Gimli and Louie), and my cat (Oscar Wilde).
I am very excited for this new adventure at Argyle Middle School! I am committed to creating passionate learners. I hope to instill the love of literacy in all my students, and give them all the necessary tools to improve their writing. It is going to be a great year!
