STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to the the Lady Eagle Basketball Team and Coaches on winning the Class 4A State Basketball Championship this past weekend in San Antonio. They defeated Dallas Lincoln in the state semi-finals and then went on to defeat Harden Jefferson in the state championship game. This is the girls FIFTH straight state championship in basketball - a feat that only 2 other teams have accomplished in UIL history in the state of Texas.

WRESTLING STATE CHAMPION!

This past weekend, the Argyle Eagle Wrestling team competed at the state meet. Overall, Argyle placed 9th as a team. Jake Ramsey finished in the top 8, Cullen Davee places 3rd and Heath Roth is the 2019 undefeated state champion. This is Heath’s 2nd State Championship. Congratulations to the team and coaches!

NATIONAL SIGNING DAY - FEBRUARY 9, 2019

Argyle High School had 9 students commit to various colleges and universities on National Signing Day. AHS CHEER - 4TH AT UIL STATE CHEER COMPETITION

The Argyle High School "Spirit" Cheerleading Squad competed at the 2019 UIL State Cheer Competition this past Friday. They won First Place in the "Engage The Crowd" portion of the competition and placed 4th in the state overall out of 84 teams at the event. UIL CONGRESS ADVANCES TO STATE MEET

Congratulations to the AHS Debate Team that competed at the UIL Regional Congressional Debate. Savanna Lessley placed 3rd in the region, advancing her to the state meet. Morgan Stone placed 4th in the region and is alternate to state.

GIRLS' CROSS COUNTRY - STATE QUALIFIERS

The girls cross country team competed in Lubbock at the Region I Cross Country Meet. As a team, they placed 5th out of 24 schools. Individually, Lanie Rodgers, Alexandra Johnson, and Amaris McCasland qualified for the State competition to take place on Saturday November 3rd in Round Rock. Lanie placed 9th overall punching a ticket for her third consecutive trip to State, Alexandra placed 10th overall checking off yet another accomplishment on an already well accomplished season, and Amaris McCasland placed 13th.

ALL-AMERICAN GAME SELECTION

Senior Preston Wilson was recently selected to play in the 2019 High School All-American Blue-Gray football game in January of 2019. Preston has also committed to play football for Oklahoma State University next fall. Congratulations to Preston and his family.
