CONGRESSIONAL DEBATE ADVANCES TO STATE

Congratulations to Billy Mykel (1st Place), Joseph Thompson (3rd Place), and Tristan Ball (4th Place) on their performance at the Regional Level of Congressional Debate. BIlly and Joseph will now advance to the state competition in January with Tristan as the alternate. The team is coached by Ms. Jessica Reynolds. Good luck at State!

ATHLETES SIGN NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT

AHS is proud of our 5 athletes that signed national letters of intent to continue their athletic careers next year at the college level. Tyler Abrego will be attending Incarnate Word to play baseball, Sydney Standifer will be attending Clemson to play basketball, Caleb Murdock and Regan Ruffner will both be attending Texas A&M for track, and MacKenzie McCormick will attend Furman University to play lacrosse. Congratulations to Coach DeGroot and the Lady Eagle Volleyball team on defeating Iowa Park in the Area Round of the playoffs. The Lady Eagles won in 4 sets and now advance to the Regional Quarter-Finals to play Decatur. Great job, Lady Eagles!

Nov 6th - Virtual Friday

This is a reminder that on Friday, November 6th, Argyle High School will have a “Virtual Friday.” There will be no academic classes held on campus this day as all students will be receiving virtual instruction. Students are expected to:

1. Log into each of their teacher’s Google Classroom site and locate their assignment for the day.
2. Complete the assignment for each of their classes.
3. Fill out and submit their Google Attendance Form for each class.

There will be a limited number of our UIL classes that will meet at the campus on Friday. Coaches and sponsors of these activities will correspond with their students if on-campus attendance is required.

GIRLS CAPTURE BI-DISTRICT TITLE

Congratulations to Coach DeGroot and the Lady Eagles on winning the Bi-District Championship over Benbrook in straight sets. The girls now advance to the Area Round of the Playoffs to play the winner of Iowa Park and Glen Rose. Good luck Lady Eagles!
