In preparation for potential inclement weather during these winter months, Argyle ISD wants to make sure you stay up to date and well informed regarding any possible weather delays or closings.
The information regarding delays and closings will be posted to the district website www.argyleisd.com under “News and Announcements” and to the districts social media outlets. All parents will receive a notification via e-mail and text message using our districts School Messenger System. The district will also notify all news channels and local news outlets of the delay or closing.
The decision to close or delay school is made after the AISD Transportation Director and AISD Maintenance Director have driven roads in our district and the AISD Superintendent has reviewed the road condition findings. The decision to close or delay is made the night before if possible otherwise the decision will be made prior to 5:30 am on the morning being questioned.
If school is delayed due to inclement weather the AISD food service department will not serve hot breakfasts. If a student is needing breakfast upon arrival to school, the food service department will provide cereal and/or other continental breakfast items for them.
