Denton County Public Health Announces School Employees Eligible for Vaccine

MARCH 4, 2021

Denton County Public Health announced that all school employees are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.

School employees in pre-primary education, primary education, secondary education, Head Start and Early Head Start programs and licensed child care providers are included in the expanded eligibility.

"This is outstanding news for our teachers and staff in Argyle ISD and we are grateful they are being prioritized," Argyle ISD Superintendent Dr. Telena Wright said. "Our teachers and staff have been on the frontlines of the pandemic since August doing an amazing job serving our students and this vaccine opportunity will be reassuring for them."

All Denton County Public Health mass vaccinations clinics are by appointment only. Individuals must sign-up through the Vaccine Interest Portal Waitlist.

For any questions or concerns, please contact the DCPH COVID-19 call center at 940-349-2585 - Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"We are so excited to include school and childcare personnel on our waitlist for the vaccine," Denton County Judge Andy Eads said in a press release. "We continue to work on vaccinating individuals on our waitlist as quickly as possible."
