Welcome to the Argyle Independent School District

WELCOME BACK!

Parents and Students:

Welcome back to school and to the 2019-20 school year!  I hope you have had a relaxing and enjoyable summer break and are ready for the upcoming year.  My team and I have been working diligently over the summer months to prepare for what we believe will be an outstanding year.  Our sports teams, drills teams, cheerleaders, and band have already started daily practices and performances are just around the corner.  Our teachers are back on campus, and there is an excitement on the high school campus.

Since the end of the 2018-19 school years, Argyle High School has accumulated several new accolades.  First, our boys’ baseball team won the UIL Class 4A state championship.  This was the school’s third state championship in baseball.  Additionally, Coach Ricky Griffin was named the High School National Coach of the Year.  What an amazing accomplishment!  Argyle High School also won the 2018-19 Lone Star Cup.  This was the school’s eighth straight time to win this prestigious award and the tenth time overall.  The Lone Star Cup is awarded annual to the highest ranking school in each classification in the state of Texas.  Points are awarded for excellence in fine arts, academics, and athletics.  Congratulations to our coaches, directors, sponsors, and students!

As you are well aware, the community of Argyle is growing at a very fast pace, and the high school is no exception to that growth. We have added 5 new teaching positions, and we feel like our new faculty members will be great additions to our school district.  Our school motto this year is “Impacting Lives.”  As educators, we understand the impact that we have on the lives of the students under our care.  This is a responsibility we take very seriously.  We are here to partner with you in this process.  If we can ever be of any assistance, please feel free to reach out to us.

We look forward to the new school year and working with the youth of Argyle.
