If you are not sure if you have registered your student/s for Transportation services during the online enrollment process, please check with your child’s campus. They are the only ones that can edit your child’s record after the enrollment process has been completed.
1st week of school bus stop information was posted on August 12th. The pick-up and drop off information can be found on the districts web page at: CLICK HERE
Routes were created using the Board approved walk to stop distances of ¼ mile for Hilltop, Argyle West, and Intermediate school students and ½ mile walk to stop distances for our Middle School and High School students. Transportation is available for children who live two miles or more from their assigned school. The distance a student lives from their assigned school is determined by measuring from the flagpole of the school to the curb in front of their home, using the shortest trafficable route.
All Pre-k through 5th grade students will be issued a bus pass at Meet the Teacher or on the first day of school. If your Pre-k through 5th grade student does not have a bus pass he/she will not be allowed to ride the school bus. All Pre-k through 3rd grade students must be met by a responsible parent, guardian or older sibling to be released from the school bus. Any Pre-k through 3rd grade students not met at the bus stop will be returned to their campus to be picked up. If you would like your Pre-k – 3rd grade student released alone please send us your written permission allowing us to do so.
Transportation is available for students living more than two miles from their assigned school (excluding transfer students). The method in which two mile determinations are made comes from the TEA (Texas Education Agency) Handbook on School Transportation. Only authorized personnel and registered eligible bus students are permitted to ride that bus. Students WILL NOT be allowed to ride any bus other than their assigned bus. Due to overcrowding on routes, notes will no longer be accepted for transportation. Emergency Transportation may be granted on a temporary basis by the Transportation Director or Assistant Director of Transportation.
