Welcome to the Argyle Independent School District

Welcome Message from Dr. Jordan, AIS Principal

Welcome, new and returning Eagles, to the 2019-2020 school year! I am so honored
and excited to serve all of you as the principal of Argyle Intermediate!
The staff and I have been working hard to ensure that this year will be a great one. I
look forward to getting to know each of our students and their amazing families and I
want to give each of you the opportunity to get to know me as well. My husband and I
live in Bartonville and we have 6 children (3 girls and 3 boys whose ages range from 15
to 28), and two sweet, little grandsons. Like many educators, I love school and I love to
learn. I completed my bachelor’s degree at Incarnate Word University in San Antonio,
my master’s degree at The University of Southern Mississippi, and my doctoral degree
at William Carey University. I have had the pleasure of teaching at both the elementary
and secondary level, and after 8 years in the classroom, I served as a high school
assistant principal for 3 years. Since then, I have spent the last 5 years as an
elementary school principal and would have to say that I have truly found my passion. I
am so lucky to have a job that I love in such an amazing school district!
I believe that any effective school successfully maintains frequent, clear, and open
communication. So, while you can expect to hear from us in a variety of methods, we
also want to hear from you! As members of the community and our AIS family, please
know that we value your input on how to make AIS the best it can be for your child. Your
suggestions, comments, concerns, and praises are ALWAYS welcome as we are
committed to our vision of providing an exceptional education. We look forward to the
continued partnership and support of our community.
Our school theme this year is “Let the Adventure Begin!” We will focus on adventures
through literacy, field trips, and other school-wide events that will encourage our
students to take risks and enjoy learning in an environment where they are loved and
supported by some pretty awesome educators. Additionally, we will be implementing the
Ron Clark House system as a school-wide incentive program. It’s truly going to be a fun
and exciting year. There will be many opportunities to share the fun with all of our
amazing parents and families and we look forward to seeing you all take part in the
Great things are happening at Argyle Intermediate School, and we are excited to share
it with you. The 2019-2020 academic year is going to be outstanding!
