Argyle ISD schools and offices will open with a normal start on Tuesday, Jan.16.
School officials have evaluated the roadways and campuses and determined conditions are safe for a regular school day. Argyle and the surrounding communities had a slight dusting on Sunday so please be cautious on the roads due to possible refrozen spots during your commute.
Buses will run on their regular daily schedule.
Argyle ISD has been in collaboration with Denton County weather and emergency operations management officials, the National Weather Service and surrounding school districts in making this decision.
Please be sure your Eagles wear extra layers of clothing on Tuesday and bundle up for the morning bus stops. Tuesday’s high is only expected to reach 29 degrees with an overnight low of nine degrees.
The district will continue to monitor conditions Monday evening and early Tuesday morning. If there are any changes to the normal start they will be communicated by 6 a.m. As a reminder, a message will ONLY be sent out if there is a schedule change.
