School Board Approves 2026–2027 Academic Calendar

The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2026–2027 academic calendar during Monday’s regular meeting.
The calendar closely mirrors the current school year. The first day of school will be Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, and the last day of school will be Thursday, May 20, 2027.
The calendar was developed by the District Leadership Team, which includes staff, parents, and community representatives, and reflects input from across the district.
Key Dates for 2026–2027
- First Day of School: Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026
- October Fall Break: Oct. 12–16, 2026
- Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 23–27, 2026
- Winter Break: Dec. 21, 2026 – Jan. 5, 2027
- Spring Break: March 8–12, 2027
- Bad Weather Make-Up Days: March 26 and April 30, 2027
- Last Day of School (Early Release): Thursday, May 20, 2027
