District Shares Update on Zoning, Transfers, and Upcoming Campus Transitions
Argyle ISD Communications

As part of the ongoing Transition Team Series, Argyle ISD is sharing more information about how upcoming campus openings and attendance zones will affect students by graduation year.

Last December, the district introduced the Graduation Year Impact Table to help families visualize the timeline for middle and high school transitions. Since then, community feedback has been overwhelmingly positive—many families have said the table makes it easy to understand their child’s future campus path once they know their graduation year.

Understanding the Changes

The Graduation Year Impact Table and the Middle School/High School Zoning Map are available below. Families can locate their student’s graduation year, then check which middle school and high school zones (East or West) apply.

The attendance zones were approved by the Board of Trustees in December 2024. These feeder patterns are also posted online at Find Your Middle or High School Zone.

A ZoneFinder link will be available soon for families to search by address.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are students in the Classes of 2027 and beyond impacted?
Families can view the detailed Graduation Year Impact Table here.

What policy defines Intradistrict Transfers?
Board Policy FDB (Local) outlines transfer eligibility within the district. View it here.

Can students choose which campus to attend?
No. Students must attend the middle or high school campus assigned to their attendance zone, except under specific circumstances defined in Board Policy FDB (Local)—such as being in the highest grade level of a school, having a sibling attending under an approved transfer, or participating in an educational services program.

Who is eligible for a transfer during new school openings?
Students entering 8th grade or 11th/12th grade the following year who are rezoned to a new campus may apply for a transfer. Requests must be submitted by the annual deadline, and transfers can be revoked for repeated tardiness, absences, or disciplinary infractions.

Are sibling transfers allowed?
Yes. Siblings of students attending under an approved transfer may also apply for transfer to the same campus if space is available.

What if a program my child participates in isn’t offered at our new campus?
If required educational services aren’t available at a student’s zoned campus, the district will provide an educational services transfer to the campus where those services are offered.

When will transfer applications open?
The district will share details about the transfer process for middle school students later this year. The process for high school students will take place during the 2026–27 school year.
