District Monitoring Potential Winter Weather Impacts
Christopher Sayler

Argyle ISD Families,

Forecasts indicate the potential for severe winter weather later this week. Argyle ISD is actively monitoring conditions and coordinating with the National Weather Service and Denton County officials.

If weather conditions affect school operations, official updates regarding delays or closures will be communicated through ParentSquare, posted on the district website, and shared on Argyle ISD’s official social media channels. Families should rely on these sources for accurate information.

When a weather-related decision is required, the district makes every effort to notify families, students, and staff by 6 a.m.

Stay Connected:

Factors considered in weather-related decisions include:

  • Road conditions and temperatures
  • Snow, ice, and sleet accumulation
  • Student driver safety
  • Sidewalk and parking lot conditions
  • Staff travel conditions, including those who live outside the district
  • HVAC system functionality
  • Operational decisions by neighboring school districts

If you are not receiving ParentSquare messages, please contact Christopher Sayler at christopher.sayler@argyleisd.com.

Social Media Reminder: False reports of school closures, incidents, or injuries — as well as inappropriate language — will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.

Radio & Television Announcements: Official updates may also be shared through local DFW radio and television stations, including WBAP 820 AM, NBC 5, FOX 4, CBS 11, and WFAA Channel 8.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work to keep students and staff safe.
