Argyle ISD officially unveiled the RedHawks logo for Argyle Legacy High School during the April Board of Trustees meeting, marking a major milestone in the development of the district’s second high school.

The logo is the result of months of work led by the Mascot & Color Transition Team, a group comprised of district administrators, teachers, and principals from across Argyle ISD. The process was intentionally built around community input and collaboration.

In September 2025, the team distributed a feedback form to families in the East Feeder Zone and visited campuses to present to student groups. That feedback was gathered from students, staff, and families and was analyzed to identify key themes that would guide the development of the school’s logo brand.

Those findings were presented to the Board of Trustees in November. In December, the board officially named the campus Argyle Legacy High School, selected the RedHawks as the mascot, and approved Royal/True Blue as an accent color.

Following that decision, the committee partnered with a designer from Pfluger Architects to develop a logo that establishes a distinct identity for Argyle Legacy High School while remaining firmly connected to the traditions of excellence in Argyle ISD. The design balances community input, practical application across facilities and uniforms, and visual elements that reference the legacy of the Argyle Eagles.

Before finalizing the design, the team returned to student groups across the feeder zone to gather feedback on the near-complete logo. Responses were overwhelmingly positive, with students describing the design as exciting, powerful, and unique, and as still feeling like part of the larger Argyle ISD family.

“This logo represents a determined effort on the part of our Mascot and Color Transition Team,” said AISD Superintendent Dr. Courtney Carpenter, “to reflect the input of our students, staff, and families, and establishes a bold identity for Argyle Legacy High School while honoring the traditions that define Argyle ISD.”

With the logo now unveiled, the district will move into the next phase of implementation. This includes developing an official brand guide and implementing it immediately across facilities, uniforms, equipment, and spirit wear in preparation for the school’s opening this fall.

The RedHawks logo represents a unified, collaborative effort that brings together community feedback, committee expertise, and professional design to create a lasting symbol for Argyle Legacy High School.
