Argyle ISD Launching New Online High School Learning Pathway for 2026–2027
Christopher Sayler

Beginning in the 2026–2027 school year, Argyle ISD will offer high school students a new instructional option through the district’s Online Learning Pathway, known as SOAR (Student Option for Academic Readiness).

SOAR provides a fully online learning model for students entering grades 9–12 who are seeking greater flexibility while remaining enrolled in Argyle ISD. A hybrid option will also be available, allowing students to combine online coursework with select on-campus opportunities.

SOAR is not an open-enrollment program. Students must meet specific eligibility requirements, including:

  • Enrollment in grades 9–12 for the 2026–2027 school year
  • Residence within Argyle ISD attendance boundaries
  • Compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements, including enrollment in a public school for at least six weeks during the current or previous school year

Due to the independence and time management skills required for virtual learning, participation is subject to eligibility criteria and district approval.

Argyle ISD will host an informational webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 5:30 p.m. to review program expectations, eligibility requirements, and the application process. The webinar will be recorded and posted online for families unable to attend live.

Following the webinar, an interest survey will be distributed via ParentSquare to families of current 8th–11th grade students.
