Argyle ISD Band Students Earn National Honors
Christopher Sayler

We have an incredible achievement to celebrate!

Last year, the Argyle Middle School band program earned top national honors in the Foundation for Music Education’s National Wind Band Honors Project. Many of those students are now making music at Argyle Middle School, Argyle Legacy Middle School, and in our high school band program.

In competitive school music, ensembles spend months preparing complex, high-level compositions. Their unedited performance recordings are submitted for blind evaluation by prominent university conductors and compared with ensembles from across the country.

Out of nearly 500 entries representing 40 states:

🎵 Honor Winds — National Winner, Mark of Excellence
🎵 Symphonic Winds — Commended Honors, Citation of Excellence

These students took on music typically performed by high school, collegiate, and even professional ensembles, earning national recognition for their work.

Please join us in celebrating these incredible young musicians across Argyle ISD! Their hard work and musical achievement are something our entire district can be proud of.
