As we approach each milestone in our district's growth, our path forward is rooted in careful planning and community involvement. We are dedicated to creating a smooth, impactful transition as we expand into multiple middle and high schools. Here is an overview of where we are now and our vision for the future:
In Fall 2024, we will begin developing a new zoning plan for our middle and high schools, with a clear blueprint for existing 5th-8th graders (the classes of 2029-2032). We will also prepare for future bond packages with the help of a community committee to ensure the necessary resources are allocated.
Note: A decision for the Junior Option (Class of 2029) will be made at a later date.
By 2026, we will transition to two middle schools. The FM 407 Middle School will be zoned to feed into the Canyon Falls High School, while the 377 Middle School will be zoned to feed into 377 High School. This transition will ensure that we continue to provide a supportive and enriching environment for all students as they progress through their educational journey.
In 2027, we will expand our district to include two fully operational high schools, further enhancing opportunities for students and ensuring our facilities are aligned with our growing community. This final step in the transition will help us meet the needs of all students, offering them a broader range of academic and extracurricular programs.
