School supply lists are posted annually in the Parents & Students section of each campus webpage. Additionally, a "Back-to-School" site is activated during the summer to serve as a central hub for information and resources for the upcoming school year.

Does Argyle ISD have any FFA, 4H or Agricultural programs for students to participate in?

Argyle ISD partners with Lifetouch for school portraits. Your campus will give you a unique code to access your student’s Lifetouch gallery, where you can place your order directly.

Argyle ISD currently does not accept non-resident student transfers from other districts unless the student has a parent or guardian employed by the district. 

Attendance is determined by board-approved school zones based on your address.

Yes, Argyle ISD offers support services for students who qualify for Special Education (SPED) and Section 504 programs. Visit the district’s Special Education page for detailed information on services, resources, and staff.

To apply for substitute teaching at Argyle ISD, complete the online application through the district’s website. Substitutes must be at least 20 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and submit two non-family references. All candidates are required to complete fingerprinting through the Texas DPS (a one-time fee payment is required). Qualified applicants will be invited to an orientation, where additional HR documents will be provided.

To apply as a volunteer in Argyle ISD, you must complete the following steps:

1. Read the Volunteer 101 site carefully.
2. Take the Volunteer 101 quiz to verify that you understand the requirements for serving as a volunteer.
3. Fill out the Volunteer Application, and complete the required background check.

Summer camps will be announced and posted before the end of the school year, as information becomes available from the organizations or individuals hosting the camps.

Argyle ISD follows the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for all subjects and grade levels. These are the state standards outlining what every student should know and be able to do. For more information, visit the Texas Education Agency (TEA) website: TEKS Overview.

District and campus enrollment numbers are available on the Enrollment Numbers page, updated in August, October, December, March, and May of each school year.

Enrollment numbers in rapidly growing areas can fluctuate due to new developments and population changes, which may differ from initial projections. Once neighborhoods are established and growth stabilizes, demographic forecasts become more accurate.

The district monitors enrollment closely and adjusts staffing and resources to maintain state-required class sizes and support all students effectively.

Yes, each school is staffed and equipped to ensure a safe, high-quality learning environment, even when enrollment varies from projections.

School construction follows voter-approved bond plans based on available funding and community-set priorities. The district can only build the number of schools authorized by voters and within the financial limits set by bond packages

The district’s Strategic Growth and Facilities Plan, adopted by the Board of Trustees, ensures Argyle ISD will transition to having two high schools by the 2027-28 school year. Argyle ISD is unique in that it already has two fully functioning high school campuses within its district boundaries, with a combined capacity of 3,400 students, which is expected to accommodate all grades 9-12 through approximately 2031. The current AMS campus, originally Argyle’s high school, served grades 7-12 for many years. As enrollment grows, the Board has set a clear direction for utilizing these facilities and structuring campus configurations and class sizes. Planning is underway to implement this vision according to the district’s growth strategy.

The most recent Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) data is available on the Texas Education Agency website. You can find information on ethnicities within the report. Please note that this data is based on student enrollment collected through the state reporting system.

Course offerings are determined by student interest. If there are low-enrollment courses, they can at times be removed from the offering list. The district's decisions regarding campus support services have been significantly impacted by a lack of state funding for public schools. Unfortunately, this funding shortfall has led to the reallocation of resources, resulting in the cancellation or modification of certain programs. We encourage you to visit our "Take Action Argyle!" website to reach out to your local representatives and advocate for public school funding. Your support can help ensure that our students receive the educational opportunities they deserve.

We only allow yard signs for school-affiliated programs and events. However, we can promote your sports programs in the Argyle ISD district newsletter under COMMUNITY NEWS. These newsletters are shared weekly during the school year and bi-weekly in the summer, reaching many families in the area. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
