Open Records/Public Information Request

This page serves as a gateway for submitting requests under the Texas Public Information Act (TPIA). Argyle Independent School District is committed to transparency and accountability in providing access to public information.Submitting a Request: To request public information, please fill out our secure online form. Be specific and provide as much detail as possible to help us locate the records you need efficiently.

Response Time: Upon receiving your request, we will provide an initial response within 10 business days during our operational hours, excluding weekends and holidays prescribed by Texas law (See PIA Calendar for applicable business days)

Are There Fees Involved? For details, please see the "Costs" section below.

What documents can be released? Some documents may or may not be eligible for release according to board policy. Please consult Board Policy GBA LEGAL for a complete list of eligibility criteria.

Archiving: Requests and the responsive documents produced will be made available to the community through the records database on this site unless protected under FERPA or other applicable state or local laws.

Costs

Please note that Attorney General’s fees may apply for certain requests, including labor charges, copies, and delivery methods:

$28.50 per hour labor charge for data processing and records retrieval (if required)
$15 per hour labor charge for locating, compiling, reproducing, and redacting information (for requests involving more than 50 printed pages where electronic records exist).
20% overhead fee added to labor charges.
10 cents per page for letter-size copies.
15 cents per page for legal-size copies.
Cost of USB storage media
Postage at actual cost.

Additionally, the District shall charge for personnel time under GBAA LOCAL | GBAA LEGAL

As authorized by law, the District shall charge a requester for additional personnel time spent producing information for the requester after personnel of the District have collectively spent:

36 hours of time during the District's fiscal year; or
15 hours of time during a one-month period.
