AHS Clubs & Organizations
Below are brief descriptions that outline the purpose of the 15+ clubs and organizations that meet during Mega Lunch, or before/after school:
-Thespians Club: This is a national honor society that promotes excellence in theatre.
-Student Council (STUCO): Students help with service projects and school-related activities like the homecoming dance and blood drives.
-Art Club: The AHS National Art Honor Society students will host art-related "make & take" workshops.
-Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA): A student-run organization that unites students in an effort to build community and to discuss issues impacting society.
-Circle of Friends: This club promotes the inclusion of all the students at Argyle High School. During the club, students eat lunch with and encourage friendships with our students with special needs.
-Fellowship of Christian Athletes: This is a student-led Christian Bible study each Friday during the 2nd part of Mega Lunch.
-Challenge Day Club Rotary: This club spreads kindness and completes service projects in our school and community.
-Spanish Cafe: A place where students can enjoy their lunch while conversing in Spanish with friends in a low-pressure environment.
-Book Club: If you love reading and authors are your celebrities, please join us in a book club to chat and share about all things books!
-National Honor Society (NHS): Students who qualify and meet the NHS requirements will meet during a designated time throughout Mega Lunch.
-UIL/Literary Criticism: Students will continue refining skills needed for competition season.
-Computer Applications: Students joining the Computer App club can offer students many opportunities to explore their interests, imagine and realize possibilities and work and socialize with their peers.
-Debate: Students will be prepping for our UIL events: CX Debate, LD Debate, Congressional Debate, Informative Speaking, Persuasive Speaking, Prose, and Poetry. You must be in the Debate class to attend this mega lunch club.
-Open Gym: - A time for students to play basketball, volleyball, and other gym sports.
