    There are several opportunities for Argyle High School students to apply for scholarships. Please view the following scholarship opportunities below that include a description of each along with the qualifications and application.

    Nathan Herzog Scholarship

    Please access the application using the link above. This scholarship is being provided in honor of Nathan Herzog whose life was lost in a traffic accident in 2007.

    Award: $5,000

    The AEF CoServ Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math Scholarship Award

    The scholarship is limited to a graduating senior in the Argyle ISD schools who will be attending a trade school, college, or university in the Fall and who intends to pursue an education in a
    STEM-related field.

    Award: $1,000

    Deadline: April 29, 2022

    The AEF Deborah T. Combs-Cantrell Health Science Scholarship Award

    The scholarship is limited to a graduating senior in the Argyle ISD interested in a career in the Health Sciences: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Nurse, Nurse Practioner, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Dentist, Pharmacist, or Genetic/Medical Research.

    Award: $1,000

    The AEF Rudy Menn Community Service Scholarship Award

    The scholarship is limited to a graduating senior in the Argyle ISD schools with a GPA of 2.5 or better. Applicant must have completed at least 100 hours of volunteer service during high school.

    Alex Betzhold Memorial Scholarship

    The Alex Betzhold Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a senior student/s at Argyle High School whose plans upon graduation include furthering their education as a full-time student. The $1000 scholarship will be sent directly to the recipient’s educational institution to help pay tuition costs. An awarding committee will select a recipient based on the student’s character, motivation, and need.

    Argyle ISD ATPE Scholarship

    The Argyle ISD ATPE would like to make seniors aware of a scholarship opportunity. There will be 3-4 $500 scholarships awarded to seniors who will attend college in the Fall. Applications can be found attached above or in Ms. Lyon's room and will be available through the week of April 11. All of the scholarship applications are due to Ms. Lyon by Friday, April 29 at 4:00 pm.

    AHS PTO Scholarship

    Deadline: May 2, 2022

    Applicant must be a 2022 Senior at Argyle High School. Applicant must be planning to continue his or her education next year at a university, college, or vocation institution. Applicant must submit an essay and complete the application linked above.


    B. Davis Scholarship

    This Scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post-secondary institution.

    TCE Neeley School of Business

    The TCU High School Investor Challenge is a one-week academic camp for highly motivated students entering their senior year of high school who want to learn the intricacies of stock selection and portfolio management. Students will stay in a TCU dorm and attend daily college-level classes. At the end of the week, each student is given a $100,000 virtual portfolio to manage during their senior year of high school.

    The two opportunities this year are June 5 - 10 and June 19 - 24, 2022.

    Completed applications must be submitted by April 6, 2022.

    Sparkling Ice Flavorful Futures Scholarship

    Follow your dreams. Savor the adventure.

    Apply for a $5,000 scholarship. 

    Applications must meet ALL the following criteria:

    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident of the United States.
    • Must be a high school senior graduating between August 1, 2021 and July 31, 2022.
    • Must have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4 point scale (high school/home schooled seniors).
    • Must enroll for Fall 2022 as a freshman or 1st year student in part-time or full-time study at a 2-year, 4-year, college, university, trade or vocational school. The school must be an accredited U.S. institution, and listed on the official website for the U.S. Department of Education.
    • Must not be a relative or dependent child of an employee of Talking Rain or any of its retail customers.

    Bettie D. Gonzalez Foundation of Hope: Empowering Motherless Daughters

    This scholarship is to honor Bettie Gonzalez, mother of six, who lost her battle with cancer at the age of 38. The scholarship is available to college-bound girls who are motherless for any reason. We believe that every young woman should have a chance at achieving her goals and fulfilling her purpose. We would like to be a part of empowering her on that journey toward her educational goals. We are looking for that young woman who is motivated to do all she can to achieve her dreams! The $2500 Scholarship will be divided equally between semesters in the first year. Mentoring will also be provided throughout your college years; we believe that this is worth more than any monetary amount you receive.

    Ford Driving Dreams

    Argyle High School was selected by Bill Utter Ford to participate in the 2022 Ford Driving Dreams essay contest from Ford Motor Company Fund, and your school is guaranteed one Ford Driving Dreams scholarship winner. New this year is an additional track for students interested in automotive technician careers. 

    All graduating high school seniors planning to attend a college/university in the Fall of 2022 are eligible to apply. Students must apply online at by March 31, 2022, for a chance to compete in the essay contest. Selected winners may be invited to attend their local North Texas Ford Dealers in May or June.

    Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI)

    The Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) is a $40,000 scholarship program for high school students who plan to study preferred STEM degrees (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). In addition to the scholarship, students will gain leadership development, mentoring and internship opportunities with program sponsors, as well as access to student networking events.

    Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program

    The Sallie Mae Fund’s Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program for High School Seniors helps make the dream of higher education a reality for outstanding students from minority and other historically underserved communities.

    High school seniors who are facing financial challenges may apply to win a $10,000 scholarship to help them attend college or a vocational-technical school.

    McKnight Scholars Leadership Program - Oklahoma State University

    The McKnight Scholars Leadership Program: 
    • Provides a full out-of-state tuition waiver for four years. 
    • Provides $5,000 for each of the student’s first two years at OSU. 
    • Offers students an opportunity to develop essential leadership skills through exclusive coursework and seminars.
    Eligible students will be chosen according to leadership and extracurricular activities. Students must be from out-of-state with preference given to students from rural Texas transfer students are also eligible.

    WTS Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter Scholarship Opportunities

    To encourage women pursuing careers in transportation, the Greater Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of WTS awards local scholarships to graduate, undergraduate, community college, and high school students. These scholarships have been made possible through generous contributions from our corporate members.

    Every year, the scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant’s specific transportation involvement and goals, job skills, and academic record. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Past applicants have backgrounds in civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering, as well as urban planning, public policy, public safety, and emergency response. Any students that may be eligible for the scholarships should apply!

    Forty Acres Scholars Program

    The Forty Acres Scholars Program is the premier full-ride, merit-based scholarship for The University of Texas at Austin. Administered by the Texas Exes, this scholarship program offers a rich college experience that provides academic, leadership, professional, and cultural opportunities within an intimate cohort of fellow scholars.

    H-E-B Scholarship Program

    H-E-B is a Corporate Sponsor of the UIL and has its annual H-E-B Scholarship Program for Community Service Excellence opportunity. Nominees must have the following submitted to by no later than January 28, 2022: 

    • Minimum 3.3 GPA
    • Number of Community Service Hours completed in the last 12 months
    • Community Service Verification Letters to document the number of hours submitted
    • A Letter of Recommendation
    • A Short Essay (500 words or less) on the topic: “What does Community mean to you?”

    H-E-B will honor 5 total winners – 5 each in music, academics and athletics – and each will be awarded $2,000 from H-E-B. An announcement of the winners will be at the UIL Boys Basketball State Championships.

    The Coolidge - A Scholarship for America (for Juniors)

    The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study. This one-of-a-kind scholarship may be used at any accredited college or university in the U.S.

    TAPT School Bus Safety Speech Contest

    The annual TAPT School Bus Safety Speech Contest provides an opportunity for high school students to prepare and present an original oration to convey the given school bus safety topic for the year. Students compete for a chance at one of 12 prizes from $200 - $1,000. The overall 1st Place winner will present his or her speech at the annual TAPT Conference and Trade show in June.

    Dallas Jewish Community Foundation

    Fall 2022-2023 college scholarship applications are open. The Dallas Jewish Community Foundation and its affiliates provide a variety of scholarships to students regardless of age or faith. While the majority of scholarships are for students from the tri-county area (Collin, Dallas, and Denton), there are many exceptions.

    Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program

    Abbott & Fenner Business Consultants are pleased to be able to continue with our scholarship program for the 16th year.
    The scholarship will be awarded up to $1,000 to the winner(s) each year.

    McLaurin and Lewis Leadership Conference

    The McLaurin and Lewis Leadership Conference is a University of Oklahoma college preview program for African American students, hosted by Diversity Enrichment Programs on the OU campus in Norman. Attendees learn key developmental assets, tour the OU campus, network with other high-achieving students, and develop a strong connection with the OU community. This year, session topics include mental health, finding your voice, activism on campus, personal branding, and more. Students will also have the opportunity to attend an OU Men's basketball game.
