LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS
CoServ Scholarship: Deadline October 10, 2023
CoServ is proud to support high school seniors as they pursue higher education in the state of Texas. In 2024, we will award seven $5,000 scholarships to outstanding students committed to building a better tomorrow. The scholarships are exclusive to high school students from CoServ Electric or Gas households. If you are planning to attend a Texas College, click here to start your application!
Terry Traditional Scholarships: Deadline varies by college
The Terry Traditional Scholarship, or Freshman Scholarship, is a full ride, last dollar scholarship that covers up to eight semesters. It is awarded to Texas high school seniors who have been accepted for admission to one of the Terry-affiliated public universities in Texas. Applications for the Terry Scholarship are available only from the universities affiliated with the Terry Scholarship Program and are not available from the Foundation or from high schools. STATEWIDE AND NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships for Texas Athletic, Music, and Academic Participants: Deadline February 2, 2024
For the sixth consecutive year, H-E-B will award 15 high school seniors who participate in UIL competitions with a $2,000 scholarship in recognition of their community service and involvement in their communities. Five students who competed in athletics, five students who competed in music, and five more students who competed in academic events were selected from the pool of applicants from across the state. H-E-B will award each selected student with a $2,000 scholarship toward their college/university of choice. Recipients will be spotlighted during the 2024 UIL Texas Girls & Boys Basketball State Championships.
Requirements: You must be a current Texas high school senior graduating in 2024 with a minimum 3.3 GPA, have participated in a UIL competition as a high school student and have been active in community service programs or events.
Applicants must complete the online application form and submit all support documents at the same time. Applications for the 2023-24 school year are now OPEN. What you will need to apply for 2023-24 consideration.

- Number of Community Service Hours in the last 12 months
- Community Service Verification Letters to document the number of hours submitted
- A Letter of Recommendation
- A short essay (500 words or less) on the topic: "What does Community mean to you?"
Heisman High School Scholarship: Deadline October 17, 2023
The Heisman High School Scholarship gives out 100 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 to community-minded male and female scholar-athletes.

Navy ROTC Program
RECEIVE FULL TUITION, BOOK STIPEND, AND MORE
The purpose of the Navy ROTC Program is to educate and train qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy's unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps and the Marine Corps. As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the Navy ROTC Scholarship Program plays an important role in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps. Selected applicants for the Navy ROTC Scholarship Program are awarded scholarships through a highly competitive national selection process, and receive full tuition, books stipend, educational fees and other financial benefits OR Room and Board at many of the country's leading colleges and universities. Upon graduation, midshipmen are commissioned as officers in the unrestricted line Naval Reserve or Marine Corps Reserve.

Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship: Deadline October 2, 2023The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarshipis an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship. The 2024 application is now open here for students who will graduate during the 2023-2024 academic year.
Texas Acacia Leadership Scholarship: Deadline September 15, 2023The Texas Acacia Leadership Scholarship is designed to identify and reward outstanding high school male seniors and undergraduate students who have demonstrated their ability to excel in the fields of academics, campus involvement/extra-curricular school activities, and community involvement. Tarleton's Guaranteed Scholarship ProgramIn order to be considered for the President’s Guaranteed Scholarship program, you must complete your General Scholarships Application. Awards will be divided between fall and spring semesters based on full-time enrollment and be renewable for up to 4 years with satisfactory academic progress. Tarleton Promise ProgramTo be considered for the Tarleton Promise program, the student must complete Tarleton’s General Scholarships Application and FAFSA application. The award is renewable for up to four years as long as the following eligibility requirements are met each year the student attends Tarleton. The Promise Program serves to assist qualifying students in covering the costs of room and board for which the other grants do not. Click here for more information.
Buster Bynum Education Scholarship: Deadline May 26, 2023The South Eastern States Pupil Transportation Conference (SESPTC) comprised of fourteen member states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia) will grant a $2,000 Buster Bynum Education Scholarship to one 2023 Texas high school graduate. Named in honor of R.A. “Buster” Bynum, retired Director of the Virginia Department of Education’s pupil transportation office and former SESPTC treasurer, this one-time $2,000 education scholarship is made available to one deserving public school student in each of the fourteen-member southeastern states.

Abbott & Fenner are committed to continuing our efforts at helping those who have the desire and ambition to succeed.
The winner(s) of this annual scholarship will receive their award within 2 weeks of the listed deadline. All applicants should include their full name and mailing address with their submissions as well as the school they are currently attending.
