Many years ago, the National Education Association wanted to do something to help get kids excited about reading. They called it “Read Across America”. This event would be celebrated annually during the week of March 2nd, Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Now, twenty years later, Read Across America is the largest celebration of reading in the country. This week, celebrate reading by participating in the various Dr. Seuss theme days. Also throughout the week, we will be learning more about Dr. Seuss himself, and the legacy that he left behind through the many stories he wrote.
Please join us Tuesday, February 28th at 7:00 PM in the AIS cafeteria to hear Dr. Wright speak about the upcoming bond election and get any questions you may have answered. We will also be voting on some changes to the PTA bylaws. Hope to see you there!
