Mission Statement

The mission of the Argyle Middle School is to provide an educational program, which will meet the unique needs of the early adolescent in an environment of academic excellence, which will encourage each student to be a responsible contributing member of society.

 
About Argyle Middle School
Argyle Middle School moved into its current facilities in the fall of 2000. The new facilities adjoin the high school and consists of 20 classrooms, 1 computer lab, 2 science labs and 1 multi-purpose lab. The middle school and high school share facilities for the library, arts, cafeteria and athletics. AMS has a tradition of excellent academics and the staff and students take pride in the success of the school and individuals.

AMS offers students in all grades the opportunity to enroll in Pre-AP classes that are designed to provide a rich rigorous curriculum. The courses are structured to provide students with the academic skills necessary to be successful in the AP courses offered at the high school level.

Elective Courses
AMS offers students a variety of electives including Art, Band, Computer Literacy, Theater Arts, Drama, Peer Assistance Leadership, and Skills for Living. Students also have an opportunity to earn High School credit in Spanish and some of the Career and Technology courses such as Keyboarding.

Athletics
AMS provides students an opportunity to participate in the following UIL sports; Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Cross-Country, and Track.
