I
enjoyed meeting many of you at Hilltop’s
Open House prior to spring break. I continue
to be impressed by the support the schools receive
from parents and community members.
I
hope that each of you enjoyed the spring holiday
and I am certain your children are counting
the days until summer vacation. My first three
weeks in Argyle have been very busy meeting
with staff and students, while working closely
with contractors, school board members, and
Dr. Wright to finalize plans so that construction
can begin. It appears that we are on schedule
and our doors will open for the fall semester.
Currently,
I am developing the schedule and will share
that in more detail once all staffing issues
are finalized. The PTA will formerly organize
once the new campus is named. Many current 4th
and 5th grade parents have been working closely
with me to get the PTA organized and ready to
assist the new campus. Thank you to everyone
who has taken the time to make this happen!
I
visited Highland Park’s Intermediate School
to gather ideas and discuss the many programs
they offer their students. The school’s
principal was very helpful and provided me with
many suggestions on how to strengthen our campus
programs as we move forward.
I
will be attending the 4th Grade Camp at Forest
Glen and the 5th Grade Camp at Sea World in
May. I look forward to spending time with our
students and staff so that I can get to know
them better before next fall.
I
know that many parents have inquired about Pre-AP
Classes. More information regarding that will
be posted later this month. Hilltop Elementary
sent home Enrollment Information Packets last
month and those will be forwarded to me if your
child is attending the new campus next year.
Please
continue to check the website. It will be updated
more regularly now that we are moving forward
with the 5th/6th grade campus.
